The Harford County Astronomical Society (HCAS) holds free observing and education programs for the general public. The open house events are held at the Harford Community College Observatory. Parking is at Harford Technical High School with a short walk to the observatory. (Handicap parking is available at the observatory)
The events start at 7 PM standard time and 8 PM daylight savings time.

February: The Snow Moon
Snow piles even higher in February, giving this moon its most common name. Among tribes that used this name for the January moon, the February moon was called the Hunger Moon due to the challenging hunting conditions.
