Harford County Astronomical Society

Weather Page

The two following graphic "charts" represent predictions of the seeing conditions at the two official observing sites of the Harford County Astronomical Society

  1. the observatory at Harford Community College
  2. Broad Creek
The data displayed by each chart are generated by Canadian meteorologist and amateur astronomer Allan Rahill. The software was created by and is maintained by Canadian software guru and amateur astrononmer Attilla Danko. We appreciate their ongoing efforts.

The observatory at Harford Community College is the site for monthly "Open House" events to which the general public is cordially invited. Observing the moon, planets, and stars through binoculars and telescopes is the featured event (weather permitting).

For more information about this chart, see the legend page that Danko created for it.

The "dark sky" site at Broad Creek is made available for use by members of the Harford County Astronomical Society by permission of the owners of the property. The site is "Members Only" and is NOT available for use by the general public.

For more information about this chart, see the legend page that Danko created for it.
